Our Founder
Hernan Cortes has been President & CEO at Betis Group, Inc. since it’s inception in February 1995, bringing with him years of experience in government and defense programs. In the early 90’s, prior to founding Betis Group, Hernan was selected to represent the Treasury Department in a Presidential Working Group to set Internet standards. He received numerous awards and rewarding assignments during his time as an engineer at the Treasury Department and other government agencies.

Hernan has demonstrated the capacity to successfully lead the company where employees enjoy an exciting, team-oriented environment where they are constantly challenged and encouraged to grow. This has fostered a spirit of cooperation, pride, and achievement that is the cornerstone of Betis Group’s growth and continued success. Betis Group has been able to hire and retain some of the industry’s most outstanding IT talent and have provided exceptional performance on IT services contracts across the federal and commercial sectors. Betis Group has performed on government enterprise-level efforts requiring a wide variety of technical and leadership experience, and have supported clients at more than 100 locations worldwide.
With a steadfast belief in “Strength in Partnership,” Hernan has forged a strategic partnership between Betis Group and CDW that has spanned over two decades. Betis Group and CDW began working together on Supplier Diversity Initiatives in 2004. Over the years, the two companies have worked side-by-side to develop Tier 1 and Tier 2 offerings for their customers and created a highly profitable and successful working partnership. Betis Group and CDW often jointly present to customers across the US and demonstrate the value they deliver through their collaboration. Working with CDW, Betis Group has been able to leverage CDW’s solutions breadth and operational capacity to increase Betis Group’s sales and exposure to market opportunities. This partnership has enabled Betis Group to develop strategic relationships with suppliers and OEMs.

Hernan is active in many civic and charitable organizations throughout the United States.
